§ 254a. Evaluation

The Secretary may request the Commissioner to examine the financial institutions to be designated or which have been designated as depositaries of public funds, to determine the condition of its finances or to ensure compliance with the provisions of this chapter and its regulations. When the examination is performed on a financial institution whose authorization to operate is not issued by the Office of the Commissioner, a fee of one hundred dollars ($100) shall be charged per day or fraction thereof, for each official intervening in said examination. The fees for each examination shall never be less than five hundred dollars ($500).

The funds collected for the fees established herein shall be covered into the Special Fund created by § 7 of Title 13.
