(a) April 7th of each year is hereby declared as “National Health Day” in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.
(b) The Governor, by means of proclamation, shall exhort the people of Puerto Rico each year to promote on said date the importance of good health in our nation.
(c) The Department of Health and the Department of Education are hereby directed to create a committee to develop the holding of activities promoting the significance of said day, and thus, preventing and ending illnesses that may be prejudicial for the health of the inhabitants of our country.
(d) It shall be the responsibility of the Secretary of State of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico to remit a copy of this act to the General Secretary of the United Nations and to the General Director of the World Health Organization.
