§ 5111. Father’s Day

(a) The third Sunday of the month of June is hereby declared as “Father’s Day”.

(b) On that day, paternal affection and abnegation shall be extolled, thus tending to develop in the heart of the children the respect and deep love that the father deserves.

(c) The Governor of Puerto Rico, with at least seven days of anticipation, shall publish a proclamation in the newspapers of largest circulation in Puerto Rico, as a reminder of the celebration of the day which subsection (a) of this section refers to.
