§ 5044. Education Week

(a) Education Week shall be observed in Puerto Rico starting on the third Monday of May of each year. During said week, the learning institutions shall pay preferential attention to the holding of functions to pay acknowledgment and tribute to the different sectors that intervene in the educational process.

(b) Monday of “Education Week” acknowledgement shall be particularly rendered to the efforts of students at all levels, which day shall be known as the [sic] “Student’s [sic] Day”.

On Tuesday of “Education Week” acknowledgement shall be particularly rendered the work of the School Lunchroom Employees for their valuable contribution as an essential part of the educational process, which day shall be known as the [sic] “School Lunchroom Employee’s Day”.

On Wednesday of “Education Week” acknowledgement shall be particularly rendered the leadership and responsibility efforts of School Principals, which day shall be known as the [sic] “School Principals’ Day”.

On Friday of “Education Week” acknowledgement shall be particularly rendered the work and dedication of teachers and professors at all levels, which day shall be known as the [sic] “Teachers’ Day”.
