§ 5007. Mothers’ Day

The second Sunday of the month of May of each year shall be known as Mothers’ Day, to be devoted to the exaltation of motherly affection and its unbounded self-denial, thus tending to develop in the hearts of children that holy respect and undying love which they should feel for the woman who gave them life.
