§ 536. Definitions

For the purposes of this chapter, the following term shall have the meaning stated hereinbelow:

Person with disability.— Means every person who as a consequence or result of a congenital condition, disease, deficiency in development, accident, or for any other reason, is physically or mentally impaired in a permanent or indefinite manner of one or more of his/her basic functions, such as: mobility, communication, self-care, self-direction, tolerance to work in terms of his/her life or his/her capacity to be employed, and whose functions have been seriously affected thus limiting the functioning of said person.
