§ 5024. Removable placards—Features

Removable parking placards issued by the Secretary shall bear in print, name of the applicant, date of issue, the removable placard identification number, the photograph and signature of the applicant, the international symbol for the disabled, the Secretary’s signature and any other information that the latter deems pertinent, except for the social security number. The parking permit in the form of a removable placard, established in § 5022 of this title, shall be granted for a term of six (6) years, and shall be renewable for subsequent periods of six (6) years, staggered according to the authorized person’s date of birth.

The Secretary, with previous coordination and consultation with the Advocate for Person with Disabilities shall determine through regulations all pertinent aspects concerning design, size, colors, placement, issuance, use, renewal and cancellation of removable placards, as well as all those conditions that the latter deems necessary.
