The Court of Appeals shall be composed of thirty-nine (39) judges, including the judges that belonged to the Circuit Court of Appeals, repealed by Section 9.002 of this Act, who shall be designated by the Governor with the advice and consent of the Senate, and shall hold office for a term of sixteen (16) years.
Only judges with nine (9) years of professional experience subsequent to having been admitted to practice law in Puerto Rico shall be appointed as a Judge of the Court of Appeals.
