The Corporation is hereby empowered to develop by itself and to provide economic and technical aid with the proper supervision and auditing to natural or juridical persons developing recreation projects in the rural area of Puerto Rico. Such projects may include, among others, development of summer homes, touristic complexes, forest areas, sports fields, cultural activity, artisan, and popular arts centers or any other recreational development that helps to promote the social and economic welfare of the countryside. The Corporation may require the Puerto Rico Cooperative Development Commission to oversee and audit those recreational projects to be developed by cooperative enterprises.
