The Secretary of Agriculture is hereby authorized to establish facilities for the marketing of farm products, to possess and/or manage agricultural markets in or outside Puerto Rico, and to acquire, possess, and/or manage, any industrial or commercial properties and enterprises connected with the marketing of farm products.
The Secretary of Agriculture is hereby further empowered to transfer, with the approval of the Governor of Puerto Rico, to the Land Authority of Puerto Rico or to any of its subsidiary corporations created under the provisions of Act No. 106, approved June 30, 1955, the rural markets for farm products heretofore or hereafter established with the appropriations carried by Joint Resolutions No. 33, approved June 8, 1954, No. 45, approved April 28, 1955, and No. 78, approved June 15, 1956, and any other rural markets for farm products hereafter established with other appropriations, and any other agricultural markets hereafter acquired or established. The Secretary of Agriculture is hereby authorized to transfer, jointly with said rural markets for farm products and other agricultural markets hereafter acquired or established, the personnel, equipment, supplies, funds, credits, obligations and other appurtenances belonging to such markets.
