§ 664. Sale or disposal of diseased cattle

Every person who knowingly sells or disposes of to another person any animal infected with or laboring under any infectious or contagious disease, or the meat, skin, hide, horns, hoofs, or any other part of an animal infected with or laboring under any infectious or contagious disease at the time of its death, shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and, upon conviction thereof, shall be subject to a fine of not less than one hundred dollars ($100) and not more than one thousand dollars ($1,000) or imprisonment for not less than one month, nor more than one year, or to both such fine and imprisonment.
