§ 521. Bonds

Every person or organization manufacturing, importing and/or distributing, for use in Puerto Rico, commercial fertilizers and/or raw materials for fertilizers and amendments to the soil shall file with the Secretary a bond in favor of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, in the amount that the Secretary may determine, and which shall not be less than two thousand dollars ($2,000) nor more than fifteen thousand dollars ($15,000), according to the volume of his business, and in the form approved by the Secretary of Justice. Said bond shall be underwritten by a surety corporation or company authorized to do business in Puerto Rico, and the amount thereof shall answer for any claim made by any person in connection with any commercial fertilizer or raw material for fertilizer, purchased in Puerto Rico, as determined by these §§ 519—535 of this title.
