§ 4478. Supervision committee—Designation; powers

The bylaws of the cooperative shall provide for the designation of a supervision committee, whose members shall be elected in the general assemblies. Any person who has been in office as director for a term shall not be eligible for the supervision committee until one year has elapsed from the end of the term of his/her office.

The supervision committee is in charge of supervising the financial and social activities of the cooperative and of overseeing that the Board of Directors complies with the law, the articles, the bylaws and the resolutions of the assemblies. It shall exercise its powers in a manner that shall not hinder the operations and activities of the other bodies.
