§ 1101. Establishment

A special sports leave for employees of the public and private sectors who are duly certified as sportspersons by the Puerto Rico Olympic Committee to represent Puerto Rico at Olympic, Pan American and Central American Games or at regional or world championships is hereby established. In the case of disabled persons, they must be duly certified as sportspersons by the Secretary of Sports and Recreation to represent Puerto Rico in said sport events, upon prior certification of the local organization, in turn recognized in turn [sic] by the corresponding international sports organization for disabled persons.
