The Secretary of Labor and Human Resources shall be subrogated in the rights of the worker against his employer’s insurer for the recovery of the expenditures incurred on account of the medical and hospital services rendered to the worker under the provisions of this chapter. The contracts of hire shall carry a stipulation to that effect and the Secretary shall take the proper action in law to make effective his right to such recovery.
