§ 2114. Rules and regulations

The Secretary of Education shall promulgate those rules and regulations that are compatible with this chapter and with the public policy established therein within a term not to exceed six (6) months from the time of its approval, after holding public hearings. It is further provided, that all the criteria and norms to be complied with by the private educational institutions covered by this subchapter as conditions for their authorization and license shall be stated and established in those regulations and rules. These regulations shall have the force of law once they are approved by the Governor of Puerto Rico and filed at the Department of State, pursuant to §§ 1-9 of Act No. 112 of June 30, 1957, as amended, known as the Rules and Regulations Act of 1958. Copies of said regulations shall be sent to the legislative bodies prior to their approval by the Governor.
