§ 976. Eugenio María de Hostos Hall—Creation

(a) There is hereby created in the General Library of Puerto Rico the Eugenio María de Hostos Hall, which shall consist of a small museum-library for the conservation of manuscripts, books and personal belongings of this patriot and that will serve as a center for the study of his brilliant life and illustrious work.

(b) The Institute of Puerto Rican Culture is hereby authorized to receive donations of books, documents, objects and money destined to the enrichment and operation of said Hall.

(c) The sum of sixteen thousand dollars ($16,000) is hereby appropriated from unencumbered funds in the Commonwealth Treasury to the Institute of Puerto Rican Culture, which sum shall be used in the outfitting of said Hall, in the payment of the personnel employed therein and in the upkeep thereof.
