§ 952. Institute of Puerto Rican Literature—Annual prizes

The Institute of Puerto Rican Literature is hereby created, composed of eleven (11) ex officio members, to wit: the President of the Senate of Puerto Rico; the Speaker of the House of Representatives of Puerto Rico; the President of the University of Puerto Rico; the Secretary of Education; the Chairman of the Governing Board of the Puerto Rican Athenaeum; the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Institute of Puerto Rican Culture; the President of the Puerto Rican Academy of the Spanish Language; the President of the Puerto Rican Academy of History; the President of the Puerto Rican Academy of Arts and Sciences, and two (2) Puerto Rican writers who shall be appointed by the Governor of Puerto Rico with the advice and consent of the Senate of Puerto Rico, who will hold office for the term of their incumbency. All of the ex officio members shall hold office ad honorem and while in the performance of their respective duties.
