A tribunal of Puerto Rico exercising personal jurisdiction over a nonresident in a proceeding under this chapter, under other law of Puerto Rico relating to a support order, or recognizing a foreign support order may receive evidence from outside Puerto Rico pursuant to § 1336 of this title, communicate with a tribunal outside Puerto Rico pursuant to § 1337 of this title, and obtain discovery through a tribunal outside Puerto Rico pursuant to § 1338 of this title. In all other respects, §§ 1321—1386 of this title do not apply, and the tribunal shall apply the procedural and substantive law of Puerto Rico.
