Section 186A.210 - [Effective 1/1/2025] Duties of clerk when security interest has been discharged
(1) When a security interest has been discharged under the provisions of KRS 186.045(3), the county clerk shall discharge the security interest and remove the lien information from AVIS.
(2) When a security interest has been discharged as provided by KRS 186.045(4), the county clerk shall, upon receiving a termination statement, within five (5) days enter the record of termination into the system of record established under KRS 186A.195, and take such other action with respect to a termination as is directed by the Department of Vehicle Regulation.
