Section 48-2303 - [Trial by civilian court not barred by disciplinary punishment](a) The imposition and enforcement of disciplinary punishment under K.S.A. 48-2301, and amendments thereto, for any act or omission does not bar a trial by a civilian court of competent jurisdiction for a serious crime or offense related to the same act or omission and not properly punishable under this code.(b) The enforcement of a disciplinary punishment may be shown by the accused during trial proceedings and, when shown, shall be considered in the determination of punishment if the accused is found guilty.Added by L. 2024, ch. 78,§ 5, eff. 7/1/2024.
