Section 46-408 - Commission; reports; compensation, expenses and allowances; expenditures; participation with other states in council of state governments, national conference of commissioners on uniform state laws and national conference of state legislatures

The commission shall report to the governor and to the legislature at such times as it deems appropriate. Its members, except the governor's committee, and the members of all delegations and committees which it establishes shall receive compensation and travel expenses and subsistence expenses or allowances for attendance at meetings of the commission authorized by the chairperson or the commission as provided in K.S.A. 75-3212 and amendments thereto. The secretary shall receive travel expenses and subsistence expenses as provided in K.S.A. 75-3212 and amendments thereto for attendance at meetings, but shall receive no per diem compensation. Members of the governor's committee shall receive travel expenses and subsistence expenses or allowances as provided in K.S.A. 75-3212 and amendments thereto which shall be paid by the respective departments of such members. The commission may incur such expenses as may be necessary for the proper performance of its duties, and it may by contributions:

(a) To the council of state governments, participate with other states, in maintaining the council's district and central secretariats, and its other governmental services;
(b) to the national conference of commissioners on uniform state laws, participate with other states, in maintaining and conducting the services of the national conference; and
(c) to the national conference of state legislatures, participate with other states in the maintenance and conduct of the programs and services of the conference.
