Section 9-24-8.5-5 - For-hire endorsement; conditions; fees(a) The bureau shall add a for-hire endorsement to a driver's license if the holder meets the following conditions:(1) Is at least eighteen (18) years of age.(2) Has held a valid driver's license for more than one (1) year.(3) Makes a proper application in a form and manner prescribed by the bureau.(4) Satisfactorily passes a written test approved by the bureau.(5) Pays a fee of nineteen dollars ($19). The fee shall be distributed as follows: (A) Fifty cents ($0.50) to the state motor vehicle technology fund.(B) One dollar and twenty-five cents ($1.25) to the motor vehicle highway account.(C) One dollar and twenty-five cents ($1.25) to the integrated public safety communications fund.(D) Sixteen dollars ($16) to the commission fund.(b) The bureau may impose an additional fee of twenty-five dollars ($25) if the bureau processes an application for a physical credential under this chapter in a period of time that is shorter than the normal processing period.
