Section 8-1-13-32 - Investigations; agents; powers; recommendations(a) The commission may appoint, by written order, an agent to investigate any corporation. The commission shall prescribe the duties of the agent in the order, and the agent has all of the inquisitorial powers granted the commission under this chapter.(b) The commission may conduct any number of investigations contemporaneously through different agents and may delegate to the agent the taking of all testimony bearing upon any investigation or hearing. The commission's decision must be based on its examination of all the testimony and records.(c) The recommendations made by any agent are advisory and do not preclude the taking of further testimony, if ordered by the commission, or further investigation.As added by P.L. 121-1987, SEC.9.
