All promoters, either corporations or natural persons, physicians, referees, judges, timekeepers, matchmakers, professional boxers, unarmed competitors, managers of professional boxers or unarmed competitors, trainers and seconds, shall be licensed as provided in this chapter, and such a corporation or person may not be permitted to participate, either directly or indirectly, in any such boxing, sparring, or unarmed combat match or exhibition, or the holding thereof, unless the corporation and all such persons have first procured licenses. A contest conforming to the rules and requirements of this chapter is not considered to be a prizefight.
