Section 35-38-1-10.6 - Crime victims; notice that criminal had antibodies for human immunodeficiency virus (HIV); counseling(a) The Indiana department of health shall notify victims of an offense relating to a criminal sexual act or an offense relating to controlled substances if tests conducted under section 10.5 of this chapter or IC 16-41-8-5 confirm that the person tested had antibodies for the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).(b) The Indiana department of health shall provide counseling to persons notified under this section.Amended by P.L. 56-2023,SEC. 320, eff. 7/1/2023.As added by P.L. 123-1988, SEC.27.
