Section 33-42-12-2 - Notary public; application for commission(a) An applicant seeking a commission as a notary public, including an applicant reapplying for a subsequent commission, must complete: (1) a course of education; and(b) A notary public must fulfill a continuing education requirement not to exceed two (2) hours of continuing education every two (2) years.Amended by P.L. 177-2019,SEC. 20, eff. 5/1/2019.Added by P.L. 128-2017,SEC. 20, eff. 7/1/2018.
