Section 31-27-5-1 - Group home operation; necessity for license; number of children and location of home(a) A person may not operate a group home without a license issued under this article.(b) The state or a political subdivision of the state may not operate a group home without a license issued under this article.(c) A person may not operate a group home if: (1) the number of children maintained on the premises at any one (1) time is greater than the number authorized by the license; or(2) the children are maintained in a building or place not designated by the license.As added by P.L. 145-2006, SEC.273.
