Section 31-19-1-1 - Adoptions subject to Interstate Compact on the Placement of Children

Except as provided in IC 31-28-4, the adoption of a child who is born in one (1) state by a person in another state is subject to the Interstate Compact on the Placement of Children under IC 31-28-4.
