Section 27-4-10-8 - "Provider billing agent"

As used in this chapter, "provider billing agent" means a person or entity that contracts with a dental provider to provide billing services for the dental provider, including:

(1) submitting bills to patients;

(2) requesting payment from patients; and

(3) receiving payment from patients;

under the terms and conditions of the contract between the dental provider and the person or entity.
