Section 23-14-31-49 - Disputes concerning cremated remains; liability for refusing release(a) If a crematory authority is aware of a dispute concerning the release or disposition of cremated remains, the crematory authority shall release the remains to the funeral director or funeral home until the dispute has been resolved.(b) A crematory authority is not liable for refusing to release or dispose of cremated remains in accordance with this section.As added by P.L. 231-1995, SEC.2.
