Section 20-26-5-37 - [Effective 7/1/2024] Types of diplomas offered; students with disabilities not required to complete local credit requirements to receive diplomas
(a) A high school operated by a school corporation shall offer the high school's students the opportunity to earn an Indiana diploma with any type of designation established under IC 20-19-2-21.
(b) Notwithstanding IC 20-32-4-1.5, IC 20-32-4-4.1(b)(3), and IC 20-32-4-5(b)(2)(D), a school corporation shall not require a student with a disability to complete locally required credits that exceed state credit requirements to receive a diploma unless otherwise required as part of the student's individualized education program under IC 20-35.
