Section 20-20-49-6 - Review of grant application; award of grantsUpon review of applications received under section 5 of this chapter, the department may award grants to school corporations and charter schools subject to available money and in accordance with the following priorities:
(1) To the extent possible, to achieve geographic balance throughout Indiana and to include urban, suburban, and rural school corporations.(2) To address a documented need for literacy coaches, additional science of reading training, or compliance with IC 20-26-12-24.5.(3) To provide targeted support for Indiana students experiencing the greatest reading challenges.Amended by P.L. 150-2024,SEC. 12, eff. 7/1/2024.Added by P.L. 250-2023,SEC. 10, eff. 7/1/2023.
