A school corporation that is accepted to participate in the project by the department under section 5 of this chapter is eligible to receive a seventy-five thousand dollar ($75,000) grant from the Indiana safe schools fund to administer the project and improve school safety. A grant awarded under this section may be in addition to a grant awarded to the school corporation under IC 5-2-10.1-6 or IC 5-2-10.1-7.
