Section 2-3-4-3 - [Effective Until 7/1/2024] Date of election to general assembly; appending to documents

It shall be the duty of every member of the general assembly performing any of the acts as set forth in this chapter, at the time of signing any certificates of acknowledgment of a deed, mortgage or other instrument, or any jurat or other official document, to append to such certificate the date of the member's election to the general assembly. The jurisdiction of any such member to perform the duties mentioned in this section shall be coextensive with the state of Indiana.
