Section 15-11-9-1.1 - "Farmland"; inventory of lost farmland; report of findings and recommendations(a) As used in this section, "farmland" refers to property described in IC 14-22-11-1(a)(2).(b) The department shall: (1) conduct an inventory of all farmland lost in Indiana from 2010 to 2022; and(2) identify the primary cause of the reduction of farmland under subdivision (1).(c) The department shall issue a report to the legislative council containing the department's findings and recommendations, including any recommended legislation, in an electronic format under IC 5-14-6 not later than July 1, 2024.(d) This section expires December 1, 2024.Added by P.L. 88-2023,SEC. 1, eff. 7/1/2023.
