Section 14-15-4-4 - Violations A person who knowingly or intentionally violates section 1, 2, or 3 of this chapter commits a Class C misdemeanor. However, the offense is:
(1) a Class A misdemeanor if the accident or collision results in an injury to a person;(2) a Level 6 felony if: (A) the accident or collision results in serious bodily injury to a person; or(B) within the five (5) years preceding the commission of the offense, the person had a previous conviction of any of the offenses listed in IC 9-30-10-4(a), IC 35-46-9-6, or IC 14-15-8-8 (before its repeal); or(3) a Level 5 felony if the accident or collision results in the death of a person.Pre-1995 Recodification Citation: 14-1-1-59 part.
