Section 12-20-5-1 - Powers and duties(a) The township trustee of each township is ex officio the administrator of township assistance within the township.(b) The township trustee shall perform all duties with reference to the poor of the township as prescribed by law.(c) A township trustee, in discharging the duties prescribed by this article, is designated as the administrator of township assistance.Pre-1992 Revision Citation: 12-2-1-1.
