Section 10-17-13-8 - Term; reappointment; vacancy(a) The term of a commission member begins on the later of the following: (1) The day the term of the member whom the individual is appointed to succeed expires.(2) The day the member is appointed.(b) The term of a member expires on the later of the following: (1) The day a successor is appointed.(2) July 1 of the year following the year in which the member is appointed. However, a member serves at the pleasure of the appointing authority.
(c) An appointing authority may reappoint a member for a new term.(d) An appointing authority shall appoint an individual to fill a vacancy on the commission.As added by P.L. 144-2007, SEC.16. Amended by P.L. 113-2010, SEC.86.
