Section 20 ILCS 2610/1 - Department of State Police

The Illinois State Police shall maintain divisions in accordance with Section 2605-25 of the Illinois Department of State Police Law . The Illinois State Police , by the Director, shall appoint State policemen, also known as State Police Officers, as provided in this Act.
