Section 54-3109 - QUALIFICATIONS FOR TEMPORARY PERMIT - RENEWAL(1) A temporary certified shorthand reporter permit may be issued to an applicant who pays the required fees and who: (a) Has not been convicted, found guilty, or received a withheld judgment or a suspended sentence in this state or in any other state of a crime that is deemed relevant in accordance with section 67-9411(1), Idaho Code; and(b) Has graduated from an accredited high school or has an equivalent education; and (i) Is currently licensed in good standing in another state as a certified shorthand reporter, or its equivalent, or has otherwise demonstrated proficiency by a certificate from an agency of another state; or(ii) Has graduated from a national court reporters association (NCRA) approved school.(2) The application shall be upon such forms as are prescribed by the board and the board may in its discretion make additional investigation and inquiry, or require further information from the applicant, as it shall deem necessary in order to make a determination of the qualifications of the applicant.(3) An individual shall only be issued one (1) temporary certified shorthand reporter permit.
