Section 36-504 - WILDLIFE TAKEN IN VIOLATION OF OTHER LAWS - VIOLATIONS(a) It shall be unlawful for any person to import, export, transport, sell, receive, acquire, purchase or possess any wildlife, as defined in section 36-202, Idaho Code, that is taken, possessed or sold on or after July 1, 1991, in violation of any law or regulation of the United States, any Indian law or regulation, or any law or regulation of any state other than Idaho, or laws or regulations of a foreign country.(b) Each violation shall be a separate offense and the offense shall be deemed to have been committed not only in the location where the violation first occurred, but also in any location in which the defendant may have been in possession of such wildlife within the state of Idaho.(c) All such wildlife shall be subject to the operation and effect of the laws of the state of Idaho to the same extent and in the same manner as though such wildlife had been produced in Idaho.(d) Any person who violates the provisions of this section shall be punished in accordance with the provisions of chapter 14, title 36, Idaho Code.[36-504, added 1991, ch. 140, sec. 1, p. 332.]
