Section 124B-79 - Findings and sentencing(a) A court-martial shall announce its findings and sentence to the parties as soon as determined.(b) Except as provided in subsection (c), if the accused is convicted of an offense in a trial, the military judge shall sentence the accused.(c) If the accused is convicted of an offense by general or special court-martial consisting of a military judge and members and the accused elects sentencing by members under section 124B-44, the members shall sentence the accused.(d) If the accused is found guilty of an offense in a trial by summary court-martial, the court-martial shall sentence the accused.Added by L 2022, c 286,§ 2, eff. 1/1/2023.
