Section 90-270.185 - Active duty military personnel or their spouses

Active duty military personnel, or their spouses, shall designate a home state where the individual has a current license in good standing. The individual may retain the home state designation during the period the service member is on active duty. Subsequent to designating a home state, the individual shall only change his or her home state through application for licensure in the new state or through the process described in G.S. 90-270.184.

Contingent Effective Date: Section 2 of 2021 N.C. Sess. Laws 31 provides, in pertinent part: "Section 1 of this act becomes effective when at least 10 states have enacted the Occupational Therapy Licensure Compact set forth in Section 1 of this act. The North Carolina Board of Occupational Therapy shall report to the Revisor of Statutes when the Occupational Therapy Licensure Compact set forth in Section 1 of this act has been enacted by the 10 member states."
