Section 115C-218.50 - Charter school nonsectarian(a) A charter school shall be nonsectarian in its programs, admission policies, employment practices, and all other operations. A charter school shall not be affiliated with a nonpublic sectarian school or a religious institution.(b) A charter school shall not charge tuition or fees except as follows:(1) A charter school may charge any fees that are charged by the local school administrative unit in which the charter school is located.(2) A charter school, upon approval by the board of directors of the charter school, may establish fees for extracurricular activities, except those fees shall not exceed the fees for the same extracurricular activities charged by a local school administrative unit in which forty percent (40%) or more of the students enrolled in the charter school reside.N.C.
