Section 22a-194a - Sale of new products manufactured using any controlled substance. Certification of compliance(a) On and after July 1, 1992, no person may sell or offer to sell in this state in the ordinary course of business any new product packaged in or composed in whole or in part of polystyrene foam if such foam is manufactured using any controlled substance. The provisions of this section shall not apply to any building or structure permanently attached to real estate if such building was issued a building permit or was completed or under construction on or before July 1, 1992.(b) Each manufacturer of polystyrene foam products using a controlled substance that are sold in this state shall certify to the Commissioner of Energy and Environmental Protection before July 1, 1992, his compliance with the provisions of this section.(c) The manufacturer of any product packaged in or composed in whole or in part of polystyrene foam shall provide information on the controlled substances found in such product to any person selling the product who requests such information.Conn.
