Nothing contained in sections 16 to 21, inclusive, of this act shall be construed to infringe upon or otherwise limit any liability limitations or protections for persons provided for under any provision of the general statutes. Nothing contained in this act shall be construed to authorize the use or application of the innocent landowner defense, established pursuant to section 22a-452d of the general statutes, to the provisions of sections 16 to 21, inclusive.
