Section 17b-284 - (Formerly Sec. 17-134ff). Medical assistance for certain employed persons(a) The Commissioner of Social Services may continue, within available appropriations, to provide Medicaid to employed persons who have conditions which prevent them from obtaining health insurance under an employer's group health insurance plan and who would otherwise be eligible for such medical assistance.(b) The commissioner may pay under the Medicaid program, within available appropriations, the employee's share of health insurance under an employer's group health insurance plan for employees who would otherwise be eligible for medical assistance.(c) The commissioner may pay under the Medicaid program, within available appropriations, the premiums for continued health insurance coverage under an employer's group health insurance plan, pursuant to section 38a-512a, for chronically ill and disabled persons who are no longer employed and would otherwise be eligible for Medicaid.Conn.
