Section 17a-519 - (Formerly Sec. 17-196). Fees, compensation and costs

Each officer or indifferent person making legal service of any order, notice, warrant or other paper under the provisions of sections 17a-75 to 17a-83, inclusive, 17a-450 to 17a-483 , inclusive, , 17a-495 to 17a-528, inclusive, , 17a-540 to 17a-550, inclusive, 17a-560 to 17a-575, inclusive, and 17a-615 to 17a-618, inclusive, shall be entitled to the same compensation as is by law provided for like services in civil causes. Physicians, for examining a person alleged to have psychiatric disabilities and making a certificate as provided by said sections, shall be entitled to a reasonable compensation established by the Commissioner of Mental Health and Addiction Services. The fees of the courts of probate shall be such as are provided by law for similar services. The Superior Court, on an appeal, may tax costs at its discretion.
