Section 42-8.1-16 - Annual reports(a) The secretary of state shall submit to the governor, the general assembly and the state publications clearinghouse an annual report concerning the administration of functions of the state archivist and the division. The report may include a yearly preservation plan for addressing the preservation needs and objectives for the division to be accomplished during the coming year. This report shall include a review of past preservation initiatives within the department as well as the projected cost(s) for new initiatives.(b) The secretary of state shall submit a disaster preparedness plan for the state archives. The plan will be placed on file in a secure location with the secretary of state, the office of library and information services, the Rhode Island emergency management agency, and the division of capital asset management and maintenance and will be updated periodically.R.I.
